Porridge au matcha

Matcha porridge is a great way to start your day with a touch of energy and sweetness. This creamy blend of oatmeal, coconut milk and culinary matcha will not only bring you nutritional benefits, but also an explosion of flavors. Here is a simple and delicious recipe for a balanced and indulgent breakfast. 

Ingredients

  • 70 g of oat flakes
  • 135 g coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 3g of culinary matcha
  • 10 to 15 cl of hot water

For the toppings

  • 1 banana to caramelize
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries

Preparation

Prepare the Porridge:

  1. In a saucepan, combine the oatmeal, coconut milk, chia seeds and water.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring regularly, until mixture thickens.
  3. Using your bamboo whisk, whisk 3g of matcha with 10cl of water for a few seconds. Add the matcha to the oatmeal and mix well until fully incorporated.
Prepare the toppings:
  1. Cut the banana in half, then cut lengthwise to obtain 4 slices.
  2. In a frying pan, heat a little honey over medium heat.
  3. Add the banana slices and cook until golden brown and caramelized on each side (about 2-3 minutes per side).

Assemble the Porridge:

  1. Place the matcha porridge in a bowl.
  2. Arrange the caramelized banana slices, strawberries and blueberries on top.
Enjoy hot for a comforting and energizing breakfast.
