Grown in the Shizuoka region of Japan, this exceptional matcha reflects 750 years of tradition. It is sourced from the Yabukita variety, the most popular both in Japan and internationally, chosen for its perfect balance between umami and light bitterness, while remaining subtle and accessible. It is the ideal gateway to discovering authentic matcha.

This matcha is ceremonial grade, meaning it comes from the first spring harvests: the youngest and most tender leaves, carefully handpicked. Three weeks before harvest, the tea plants are shaded to enhance the L-theanine content, reduce bitterness, and intensify the green color.

The young tea leaves are then processed into tencha and slowly ground on traditional stone mills, following centuries-old Japanese craftsmanship, to produce an ultra-fine powder with a vibrant green color.

This matcha blends the authenticity of Japanese tea with the delicate sweetness of natural vanilla, offering an experience that’s both refined and approachable. Enjoy it as a smooth, creamy latte or in its traditional form for a moment of calm and indulgence.

Matcha tea

Originally from China, matcha has become a major tradition in Japan, particularly through the tea ceremony. Buddhist monks already used it to accompany their meditation.

Its three specific features

It's a powdered green tea that is whisked, not steeped. It offers powerful benefits because the entire leaf is consumed, and it can also be used as an ingredient in cooking, in drinks as well as in recipes.

How do you prepare matcha tea?

Preparing matcha tea is not just about mixing powder with hot water.

This Japanese ritual relies on a few precise steps that reveal the full delicacy of matcha: water at the right temperature, sifted powder, and vigorous whisking for a light and creamy foam.

To do this, we recommend choosing our Original Matcha or Vanilla Matcha.

In just a few minutes, you can transform your break into a true moment of calm and concentration.

With quality matcha and the right accessories, preparing your matcha at home becomes a simple, everyday pleasure.

How is our matcha tea made?

Before reaching your bowl, matcha undergoes a precise process of cultivation and processing, inherited from Japanese tradition.

It all begins several weeks before harvesting, when the tea plants are shaded to stimulate the production of chlorophyll and L-theanine.

This shading intensifies the green color and natural sweetness of matcha.

The young leaves are then carefully harvested, then steamed to preserve their freshness and prevent oxidation.

After being dried, the stems and veins are removed, leaving only the noblest part of the leaf (tencha).

Finally, this tencha is slowly ground into an extremely fine powder. This grinding preserves the aromas and achieves that deep flavor.
