Cool off your hot summer days with a Matchacolada, a unique cocktail that combines the richness of matcha with the sweetness of coconut and the zest of pineapple. Whether you prefer an alcoholic or non-alcoholic version, this drink is perfect for enjoying moments with family or friends by the pool. Follow this recipe to create your own Matchacolada!
Ingredients (for 1 person)
- 1.5 g of culinary matcha
- 200 ml coconut cream or coconut milk (depending on the desired texture)
- 1 shot of rum (for the cocktail version)
- 200 ml pineapple juice
- Ice
- Lime zest

In a bowl, mix 1 g of culinary matcha with a small amount of hot water. Whisk vigorously with a milk frother or matcha whisk until smooth.

Add the coconut cream or coconut milk to the prepared matcha. Whisk again to incorporate well and obtain a creamy mousse.

In a tall glass, add ice cubes and a shot of rum.
For a mocktail version: Simply add ice cubes to the glass. -
Pour the coconut-matcha mixture into the glass, then add the pineapple juice. Stir gently to combine the ingredients well.
